Although the city of F\u00fcrth is an important location in the Nuremberg metropolitan region, unlike other large cities, it does not have its own concert hall. The new building of a music school and two concert halls is intended to create a new cultural venue and meeting point for the catchment area on the Pegnitz River.<\/p>\n
An architectural building ensemble, consisting of four identical building complexes, which takes up the arrangement of the neighboring old houses in the theme, connects the city center and the city park. The line-shaped arrangement of old, identical-looking houses has been implemented in a modern way in the new building concept and is therefore the \u201cmodern counterpart\u201d to the old buildings. The new building will be located in the second row with an appropriate distance from the existing row. This will bring order to the city boundaries, which previously did not appear uniform. The new building ensemble expands the city limits and shifts them to the river as a natural boundary. The architectural concept envisages dividing the spatial program volume into several houses. In keeping with the building structure, narrow and elongated cubes are created, which are oriented towards the river edge. Embedded in the topography, the building ensemble initially has a two-story elevation in the entrance area. Due to the slope towards the river bank, four levels are ultimately visible. The building ensemble ends with a free platform over the water on the banks of the Pegnitz and can be used in a double function as an outdoor stage and a sun deck to linger.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
