The location on Blumenstrasse \u2013 near the Viktualienmarkt in Munich \u2013 will revitalize a central and representative location.<\/p>\n<p>The listed high-rise bunker on Blumenstrasse dates from the Second World War. The floor plan of the building is square, the edges measure around 14 meters. The six-story building is surrounded by external walls that are up to 1.30 meters thick. The existing entrance including the outside staircase and the tent roof will be completely removed. This is replaced by a translucent structure that nestles against the existing cubature. The modern building forms the new entrance area as well as a new access to the individual floors and serves as a second escape route. Furthermore, the modern extension enables a spacious and open exhibition area in the existing building.
